Our research

Our research aims to use advanced chemical biology techniques to create products useful to the scientific community. Early career scientists will receive comprehensive training in various aspects of chemistry and biology. Key research projects can be categorized as:

  • Designing artificial enzymes for potential bioindustrial uses
  • Developing chemo-enzymatic schemes for bioconjugated proteins as biopharmaceutical candidates
  • Creating enantiomeric D-amino acid proteins for fundamental research and medicinal applications

We will provide extensive training of various useful techniques, including molecular cloning, enzyme preparation, peptide synthesis, chemical synthesis, unnatural amino acid incorporation, HPLC, and mass spectrometry, all of which are routinely used in both academic and industrial laboratories. Data obtained from these projects will be published in peer-reviewed, high-impact journals.
